This is a list I have been looking to make for myself on the first tank set I would like to gather. I have only so far looked at 25 man Ulduar loot, no hardmodes. But as im missing a few pieces, hands and neck. And I have some spot to think about which piece I would like the most. This is still a work in progress. I will come back to this as soon as I have had time to look on 10 man loot as well. And take a look at Rawr and play with some gear setup there.
Lets call this an indication of where im heading.
Loot from 25 man Ulduar. No hardmode loot.
Head : Conqueror's Aegis Faceguard / Helm of the Faceless
Neck :
Shoulders : Shoulderplates of the Deconstructor
Back: Cloak of the Makers
Chest : Conqueror's Aegis Breastplate
Bracers : Mimiron's Inferno Couplings
Hands :
Belt : Indestructible Plate Girdle
Legs : Saronite Plated Legguards / Conqueror's Aegis Legguards
Feet : Charred Saronite Greaves
Ring 1 : Platinum Band of the Aesir
Ring 2 : Fate's Clutch
Trinket 1 : Heart of Iron
Trinket 2 : The General's Heart
Libram : Libram of the Sacred Shield
Weapon : Titanguard
Shield : Northern Barrier
Dont forget conquest items.
ReplyDeleteT7.5 shoulders arnt bad for avoidence gear.
Don't forget...some Naxx25 items are silly enough better than Ulduar items. No idea if that is the case for any of these, but I know those cases exist.
ReplyDeleteI would argue (aside from the 10 man Hard Mode Boreal Guard) that the Wall of Terror is the best shield in game now and that Hero's Surrender is a better shield than Northern Barrier.
ReplyDeleteBeing that you should be able to maintain blockcap without having to rely on trinkets, I'd recommend picking up the Royal Seal of Llane as your second trinket.
The Nexus War Champion Beads are still the best neck until hardmode Freya, imo.
Also, wearing two piece 7.5 (shoulders and gloves) are your best bet until you pick up the shoulders from Deconstructor that you have listed. At that point I'd suggest picking up Gauntlets of the Royal Watch unless you wanted to use the 8.5 gloves for a set bonus.
I also prefer the Leviathan's Coil to the Platinum Band.
Just some suggestions. :)
I forgot to mention... the Spiked Deathdealers roflstomp the Charred Saronite Greaves if you have the ability to get them made. And yes, roflstomp is a technical term, hehe
